What helps us quote faster
Roughly how big the area is, what the access is like for a truck, whether there is existing concrete to come out, and when you are hoping to have it done. Do not worry if you do not know. That is what the site visit is for.
Before you call
Do you do free quotes?
Yes. For anything beyond a very small job we come out, look at the access, the levels and the ground, and quote from that. A quote given over the phone without seeing the site is a guess, and guesses are what turn into variations later.
Can you just place and finish concrete if I have the boxing ready?
Yes, that is a service on its own. Plenty of builders and owner builders book us for the placing and finishing only. See the concrete placing page for what that covers.
How long before I can drive on a new driveway?
As a general rule, stay off it on foot for a couple of days and keep vehicles off for about a week, longer in cold weather. We will give you the exact timing for your pour, because the mix, the thickness and the temperature on the day all change it.
What finishes can I choose from?
Broom, smooth or power floated, exposed aggregate, and cut patterns. Each one behaves differently underfoot in frost and weathers differently, so we will talk through which suits the area and how you use it. We are happy to show you finished examples.
Do you work for builders as well as homeowners?
Both. Homeowners are most of our work, but we regularly do foundation, slab and placing work for builders on new builds, and we are used to fitting in with a programme.
Which areas do you cover?
Queenstown and the wider Wakatipu, including Frankton, Arrowtown, Jack's Point, Hanley's Farm and Lake Hayes. If you are a bit further out, call and ask.
Can you fix or replace existing concrete?
Yes. We saw cut out the damaged or unwanted sections, take the old concrete away and pour the replacement so it finishes flush with what is staying.
